MythicaAI Terms of Service

1. Who we are

MythicaAI is operated from Victoria, Australia. References to “MythicaAI”, “we”, “us”, or “our” mean the operator of the MythicaAI platform, including the game preparation tools, narrator services, support centre, and any related applications.

We provide our services in accordance with applicable Australian and Victorian legislation, including the Australian Consumer Law and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement to use MythicaAI. By using the service on behalf of another person, team, or organisation you represent that you have authority to bind them to these Terms.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep that information up to date.

3. Accounts and security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, including any linked Google or Discord accounts.
• You must promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorised access to your account or notice suspicious activity.
• We may take reasonable steps—such as suspending sessions, resetting tokens, requiring additional verification, or limiting feature access—to protect your account and MythicaAI from unauthorised activity.
• Shared devices should be signed out between uses to protect your lobbies and narrator history.

4. Service features

MythicaAI offers tools for tabletop roleplaying including frictionless prep, narrator automation, spotlight timers, initiative tracking, dynamic lighting cues, safety tool prompts, lore tracking, and recap publication. Features may evolve over time. We may add, modify, or remove functionality with or without notice, provided that doing so does not materially reduce any paid service you have already purchased.

Hosts decide who can enter their lobby and when the game begins. Once a session transitions to active play, late joins are blocked automatically to protect the experience.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use MythicaAI for unlawful, infringing, harassing, defamatory, hateful, or fraudulent purposes.
• Attempt to access another user’s account, data, or a game that has already started without an invitation.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code or underlying ideas from our software or AI models.
• Upload viruses, malware, scripts, or content that interferes with the proper operation of MythicaAI.
• Exploit bugs or automated scripts to gain an unfair advantage or disrupt the experience for others.
• Use the narrator or recap tools to generate content that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these obligations or our community standards.

6. Community and safety tools

MythicaAI provides safety tools—including lines, veils, and X-card style signals—to help your group maintain comfortable play. Hosts are responsible for configuring safety preferences and ensuring participants respect them. MythicaAI records safety tool usage only as necessary to display prompts and will never publicly disclose private safety notes.

7. Content you provide

• You retain ownership of characters, lore, prompts, audio uploads, art assets, and other content you submit to MythicaAI.
• You grant MythicaAI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, transmit, reproduce, and display that content as needed to provide the service, generate narration, synchronise ambience, and create recaps for you and the players you invite.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any third-party content you upload and for complying with any applicable intellectual property laws.
• You acknowledge that AI-generated narration may draw from probabilistic models and might not always be accurate, neutral, or appropriate. You should review generated content before sharing it externally.
• You can delete most user-generated content via the app. Residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period consistent with our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party services

MythicaAI integrates with third-party providers such as Supabase for account storage and synchronisation, OpenAI for narrator responses, and transactional email partners for notifications. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

9. Feedback

If you share feedback, bug reports, or feature ideas with us, you grant MythicaAI a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use that feedback without restriction, provided we do not publicly attribute it to you without permission.

10. Beta and experimental features

We may offer beta, preview, or experimental features—such as new narrator voices or ambient lighting controls—to gather feedback. These features may be subject to additional terms, may change without notice, and are provided “as is.” We may terminate beta access at any time.

11. Fees

MythicaAI currently offers its services without charge. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we will publish applicable fees, billing terms, and cancellation rights before charging you. Paid subscriptions will comply with Australian Consumer Law requirements for refunds and guarantees.

12. Account closure

You may delete your account at any time from the settings page. We may terminate or suspend access to MythicaAI immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse, or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use MythicaAI will immediately cease and we will follow the data deletion practices outlined in our Privacy Policy.

If your account is terminated, we may retain minimal information necessary to resolve disputes, enforce these Terms, or comply with legal obligations.

13. MythicaAI intellectual property

The MythicaAI name, logos, proprietary game systems, code, art direction, soundscapes, and design elements are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited licence granted to you above, these Terms do not give you any right, title, or interest in MythicaAI’s intellectual property.

You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission, other than as necessary to identify yourself as a MythicaAI user.

14. Disclaimers

MythicaAI is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, free of harmful components, or that generated narration will meet your expectations.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights, or remedies conferred on you by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified.

15. Liability

To the extent permitted under the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable legislation, MythicaAI’s total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to AUD $100 or the amount you paid to us for the services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability, whichever is greater.

In no event will MythicaAI be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, or data, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold MythicaAI, its officers, agents, employees, and partners harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms, misuse of the service, or violation of any law or third-party rights.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us so we can attempt to resolve the issue informally within 30 days.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when we release new features, integrate new technology, or comply with law. When changes are material we will notify you by email, in-app message, or similar method. Your continued use of MythicaAI after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
